1. Appointments and Access

Please ensure a suitable, safe, and legal parking space for the grooming van is available close to your property. If the groomer cannot park within a reasonable distance, the appointment may be rescheduled, and a call-out fee may apply. Your dog must be ready at the scheduled time. Delays over 15 minutes may shorten the appointment or result in rescheduling.

2. Cancellations and No-Shows

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or reschedules. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full grooming fee. Repeated missed appointments may result in refusal of future service.

3. Health and wellbeing 

Owners must inform the groomer of any health issues, allergies, or behavioural concerns before grooming. Dogs showing signs of illness, infestation (fleas, ticks, etc.), or contagious conditions will not be groomed. A cleaning/sanitation fee may apply.

4. Grooming and Handling

Your dog’s wellbeing is the top priority. If a dog becomes overly stressed or aggressive, grooming may be stopped or adjusted for safety. While every effort is made to achieve your requested style, results may vary based on coat condition and the dog’s tolerance.

5. Matted Coats

Severely matted coats may require shaving for the dog’s comfort and safety. Extra charges apply for de-matting due to the time and risk involved. Fur ’n’ Dandy is not responsible for minor irritation or clipper marks that can occur when working through mats.

6. Electricity

Our grooming unit requires access to household electricity and water. Please ensure availability during your appointment.

7. Injury or Emergency

While every care is taken, grooming tools are sharp and accidents can happen. If an injury occurs, you will be notified immediately. 

8. Behaviour and Safety

Dogs with a history of aggression or biting must be disclosed before booking. Muzzles may be used if absolutely necessary for safety. The groomer reserves the right to refuse service if the dog poses a danger to themselves or others.
